MTE Inside: Energy, Innovation and Finance
Virginie has been a project manager at the Mission for Energy Transition since it was created in 2016. In other words, she has actively contributed to shaping the organisation, particularly on financial issues, and on those relating to energy and innovation.
She currently leads a number of technical projects, including on the development of hydrogen, electric transport and ocean thermal energy loops. She is also responsible for the National Green Fund.
Her strengths include strong, specialist technical expertise, combined with unfailing determination and a unifying and infectious sense of humour. Staunch, tenacious and exacting, she puts 100% into every project that she leads.
... And where does innovation come into all this?
The renewable energy sector is in a constant state of flux. To seize every possible technical opportunity, the Mission for Energy Transition established a process for monitoring technology as soon as it was set up.
As part of this, Virginie works with Capenergies, a competitiveness cluster in the PACA region. Capenergies leads a community of 530 stakeholders in the energy field. It facilitates the emergence, financing and development of innovative projects for the benefit of low-carbon energy systems to accelerate the energy transition in the region.
It supports the Mission for Energy Transition by providing updates on various technologies of interest and assessing the solutions that have been put forward. Particular attention has been paid to hydrogen, to support the work of the Monaco Hydrogen Working Group, in which the Mission for Energy Transition is involved.
Note that last year, Virginie became a member of the Board of Directors for the period 2021–2024.
