Responsible Trading and Restaurant certifications: launch of AGIR workshops

As part of the support offered to members of the Responsible Trader and Restaurant certification programme, the Department of the Environment and its partners have launched a new workshop series: the AGIR (ACT) workshops.

Between April and October, four workshops will help to strengthen the practices employed in businesses, by offering clear guidance on the environmental issues that businesses encounter on a daily basis, showcasing the knowledge and expertise of the certification programme’s partners.

This year’s schedule includes:

- On 27 April, AGIR Workshop 1 to improve waste sorting with the Monegasque Sanitation Company (SMA);
- In June, AGIR Workshop 2 to promote eco-friendly tourism with the Tourist and Convention Authority;
- In September, AGIR Workshop 3 to encourage the use of returnable containers with the Mission for Energy Transition;
- In October, AGIR Workshop 4 to promote eco-friendly toiletries with the Department of Health Affairs.

The AGIR workshops offer an opportunity to discuss a sustainable development theme (waste sorting, eco-friendly toiletries, sustainable tourism, returnable containers, etc.) with an inspiring expert and take part in a round table where traders and restaurateurs will be able to ask questions, raise difficulties and share their stories.
The AGIR workshops are open only to certified Responsible Traders and Restaurants in the Principality and their points of contact for environmental issues. They will be held online, and will be deliberately short – just 40 minutes long – to enable as many people as possible to take part without impacting the working day.

For more information about the Responsible Trading and Restaurant certifications and how to sign up, see the websites www.gouv.mc or www.yourmonaco.mc .
