  • Call for exemplary renovation projects

This initiative will be launched in early 2021. It will prioritise the oldest buildings which are responsible for the highest greenhouse gas emissions, and offer a subsidy for studies and work (roofing and wall insulation, change in energy generation, etc.) with strong potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as highlighted following energy audits. Projects will be required to comply with a BD2M approach.

  • Support to renovate buildings as part of the recovery plan

As part of the economic recovery plan, the Prince’s Government is introducing additional support to help businesses and individuals make their energy transition.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government is rolling out an ambitious recovery plan worth €75 million, approved by the National Council, to support our economy.

A number of the measures aim to fully or partially renovate our built heritage, and to make conditions more comfortable for residents while at the same time increasing energy efficiency.

-          Restoration of a notable building

-          Upgrading of bin storage areas in line with standards

-          Alterations to a residential building

-          Renovation of a shop

The measures are time-limited and can be combined.

For owners of a notable building or managers of a co-owned building listed as notable, an incentive amounting to 30% of the work (including all taxes), capped at €20,000, is being introduced for restoration carried out before 31/12/2021. This can include the restoration of facades, the replacement of shutters, new entrance doors, the repair of ornamental features or decorations, correction of inappropriate alterations, work on the roof, etc.
