Lanéva, a pioneer in zero-emissions yachting

4-Laneva

Lanéva is challenging the yachting market with its first electrically powered Riva Yacht ®.

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2022, start-up company Lanéva, a pioneer in zero-emissions luxury yachting, announced the launch of its first retrofit kit (available from the company’s website, www.laneva-boats.com ), which is 100% electric and compatible with all classic boats and brands on the market, including Riva Yacht ®, Boesch®, Chris-Craft ® and Hacker Boat Company ®.

For this ambitious retrofit project, which is being co-financed by the National Green Fund, Lanéva gave an exclusive presentation in the Tenders & Toys section, showcasing a boat from the legendary Riva® brand equipped with a 150kW electric motor and a Li-Ion battery, while retaining its original shaft line (speed of 30 knots with the ability to sail for more than 2.5 hours at 15 knots).

This latest move from the start-up is entirely in line with the energy transition policy promoted by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, the aim of which is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 (compared with 1990).

François Richard, the brand’s CEO and a National Pact Ambassador: “This is an additional step in our bid to conquer the luxury yachting market.”

Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux, Director of the Mission for Energy Transition: “The Lanéva Boats project paves the way for retrofitting boats, reducing the impact on resources by adapting electric motors for use in existing boats. This fully meets the criteria for receiving financial support from the National Green Fund.”

Quite simply: WELL DONE LANÉVA !
