To mark the fifth anniversary of the Energy Transition White Paper, Monaco’s Mission for Energy Transition organised a seminar on the issue on Monday 9 May.

Minister Céline Caron-Dagioni launched the event with an introductory speech.

The seminar addressed two objectives:

- a review of the work of the White Paper , published in 2017, the actions undertaken by the Monaco Government in the last five years, those underway and those planned between now and 2030

- workshops for sectoral subgroups (sustainable health / sustainable economy (digital, finance, trade and industry) / sustainable construction / sustainable district) to gather ideas for actions that can be implemented to help Monaco achieve its greenhouse gas emissions targets for 2030 and 2050.

Key Monegasque stakeholders from the worlds of health, the economy, energy, transport and mobility, waste, construction and the sustainable city were invited to the event. A number of government departments also took part.*

Background:

- The Mission for Energy Transition plays the role of coordinator and accelerator for these public and private initiatives, including by managing the National Green Fund.

* Department of the Environment, Department of Forward Studies, Urban Planning and Mobility, Department of Urban Amenities, Public Buildings Maintenance Office, Tourist and Convention Authority, Digital Transition Office, State Property Authority, etc.
