Céline Nallet, CEO of the TNT channels (TMC, TFX and TF1 Séries Films) at TF1 Group signed the National Energy Transition Pact commitment charter on behalf of Télé Monte-Carlo (TMC) on Thursday 21 March.

The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. the Minister of State, Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, Catherine Puiseux, CSR Director for TF1 Group, Etienne Franzi, Vice-President of TMC, Olivier Mercier, Website and Broadcast Director for TMC, and Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux, Director of the Mission for Energy Transition.

The Minister of State reiterated that “the Sovereign Prince wanted the Principality to commit to achieving its carbon target in 2050. By signing up to the National Energy Transition Pact, everyone can take individual and collective action towards this goal.” He welcomed TMC’s decision to sign the pact, describing it as “a particularly symbolic and important signature from this channel which is so closely associated with our country, through its history, influence and dynamism.”

Through reducing the number of business trips by using videoconferencing for communication between the teams in Paris and Monaco, expanding teleworking – a priority Government policy – and adopting the most energy-efficient technology, TMC is making its contribution to a movement which has now gathered more than 700 signatories in the Principality.

The National Pact, introduced in January 2018, seeks to engage the Monegasque community in efforts to achieve the country’s targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. H.S.H. Prince Albert II was the first to sign up to the National Pact, followed by his Government.
