Isabelle Curau-Bloch

Isabelle has worked at the Mission for Energy Transition since it was created in 2016. Suffice to say that she has actively contributed to shaping the organisation, particularly through the drafting of first the White Paper and then the National Pact. Today, she works with Catherine to raise awareness among the Monegasque community. Her strength lies in her conscientious, committed approach, which she brings to bear every day on every issue that she tackles. Her gentle and caring personality, together with a strong sense of personal commitment, make her an outstanding member of the team.

Catherine Dumortier

Catherine has been supporting Isabelle, particularly in the work on the National Pact, since 2018. She dives into the details of each new Pact signatory in order to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the actions being put in place by her contacts, to whom she offers dedicated support. Her devotion, methodical mind and wonderful human qualities are all assets for the Mission for Energy Transition.

Isabelle and Catherine are responsible for the National Pact and for supporting those who sign up to it.

Five large organisations have recently joined the community of signatories. Below is a look at the strengths of each one.

Noaro Frères

To mark its 115th anniversary, NOARO Frères  made a commitment alongside the Mission for Energy Transition by signing the National Pact. It’s a two-pronged approach for the company, which has committed to adopting more eco-friendly practices in its area of activity and in its everyday operations.

Insobat

INSOBAT specialises in second fixings and finishing work. Already a pioneer in the use of eco-materials and a source of ideas for its clients in this field, the Monegasque company, which is accelerating its green transition, signed the Pact in December. It’s worth noting that INSOBAT is actively taking part in the training sessions and events organised as part of Monaco’s sustainable construction initiative, BD2M. CSM

The Monaco Scientific Centre (CSM) signed the National Pact last December. It was an opportunity to recall the Centre’s involvement in reducing greenhouse gases and promoting environmental protection, from its work in its polar, marine and medical biology research laboratories through to the exemplary nature of the building. Monegasque Cycling Federation

The Monegasque Cycling Federation signed the National Energy Transition Pact on Sunday 28 November, during the BEKING cycling event. It was the first sporting federation to make this commitment. To bring the event to a fantastic close, following the Federation’s signature of the Pact, H.S.H. Prince Albert II did us the honour of stopping by the Mission for Energy Transition stand!

Fashion Council of Monaco

On 15 February, it was the turn of the Fashion Council to make the commitment, and through it, five Monegasque designers who are persuaded that the fashion world must change direction... Conscious that the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, the Council is doing everything it can to push boundaries and put an end to the practices of an industry that can be both environmentally and socially devastating.
